Some spoilers below in case you haven’t watched it yet.
So I just want to say this first. I don’t like the celebrity brain whatever it is. I know it is poking fun of SIARPC, but it’s going to get old by the end of the series. I hope if they decide to can anything, this goes first.
The Vulcan is an insane car. I learned some things about it that i didn’t know before, so that was nice.
Mike Skinner is a decent driver, but I am not a big fan. Bringing Ben Collins on would be great, but I doubt the BBC would allow it. They could find somebody else though and I would be fine with that.
The main film of the show has to be one of the most over the top films I have ever seen the trio do. It was also, in my opinion, one of the most hilarious. It barely passes as a car review though. Maybe I shouldn’t look at in that manner, then. Still was funny to watch.
The bit with James at the spinning show was interesting. I do like learning about car cultures in other countries and this is something that seems pretty popular there. They guy who built the replica Mercedes is a total badass and kudos to him for making that car as well as the guys for bringing him on.
Overall I felt it was a good show. It’s still early days, so I know it will take some time getting used to the new format.
Not everybody will agree with my opinions and that is perfectly fine. Feel free to add your say in the comments though.

I wasn’t impressed. Killing the celebrities was funny in the first episode, but it’s just getting old at this point. The main feature was kind of boring, in my opinion. I really liked the cheap car challenges, and the ones where they had to build something out of a cheap car, like the police cars episode or the ambulance episode. Hopefully it’s just this episode. If it’s always like this, I see no need in continuing my Prime membership.

Ben Collins bas nothing to do with the BBC. He can do what he wants but he quite simply doesn’t want to work with them.

Skinner is a solid driver and I don’t mind them using him, I just hate that they have him playing the over the top redneck ‘Murican stereotype instead of giving actual input on the cars. In reality the guy isn’t even southern, he’s from California. And NorCal at that.

Agreed. If they wanted a NASCAR driver specifically, they could have gone with Boris Said. I think he would have been a good fit since he does have a good bit of road course experience.

Skinner can rip a road course too. Have you seen him hustle it at Goodwood? (Which, side note, is almost certainly where he impressed the GT crew and got the gig)

I did and that is a valid point. I live in the south and even to me the stereotype he puts off is eye rolling. He would indeed be better if he just gave some input on the car and left it at that.
